Start at 8 AM this morning, the best Mai Chau Homestay tour will take you to West of Hanoi toward Mai Chau with one stop in Hoa Binh City for refreshments and coffee. Continue driving toward Mai Chau valley, about another 1.5 hours away, stopping on the way to take in the spectacular scenery. Upon arrival at the Lac Village in Mai Chau valley, we will have lunch with local family and after lunch do a short walk around the village and visit families nearby.

Our hosts for this evening will be the White Thai minority people and you will stay in one of their traditional stilt houses. There, you will be toasted as honoured guests and will be able to sample some of their homemade rice wine! In sampling these people’s hospitality, we will discover a little more about their lives and culture following the evening meal. Tonight you will feel like home at our best homestay family for your comfortable staying.

Optional: a traditional musical performance will be arranged upon request.

Start your day with a short drive to Mai Hich – the most beautiful village located a 30 minute drive from your homestay. Upon arrival at Mai Hich village, do a biking tour around villages in this beautiful valley, going from one village to another and have a chance to get in touch with local villagers going about their daily business tilling the fields, logging or herding the buffalo. We will visit schools and families along our bike, chatting with local farmers while they are working on rice paddies. Our lunch will be arranged in Mai Hich village or in another village. Afterwards you can stroll around the hamlets, before returning back to Hanoi. End of services.
